At Shoemaker, Horman, & Clapp it really is a family affair. On October 1, 1986 Russell Horman, James Clapp, and H. Reese Shoemaker, Jr. established a general practice law firm in Frederick, MD. James Clapp's father, the Honorable Robert E. Clapp, Jr. (1910-1997) served of-counsel to the firm. Reese Shoemaker's son, James Shoemaker, joined the firm in 1987 and they worked together until Reese's retirement in 1992. Russ Horman's son, Marshall Horman, joined the firm in 2003.
Since 1986, the law firm of Shoemaker, Horman, & Clapp, P.A. has provided legal services to individuals, businesses, and municipalities in Frederick and the surrounding counties.
The attorneys are dedicated to providing their clients with the highest quality legal services, regardless of the nature or size of the matter. The firm has intentionally remained small in order to provide a broad range of legal services without sacrificing personal attention.
